Vineyard: Forster Musenhang
Size: 18 hectares
A derivation of the name from "Musehelde" (mouse cave in Deidesheim) is suspected. The soil consists of loamy sand and limestone gravel. The wines are mostly slender in type, appear mineral, racy and are rich in extract.
Because of its close proximity to the Palatinate Forest, the grapes show little tendency to rot, so they can enjoy a long ripening period.
