Size: 15 hectares
According to the Bavarian soil classification of 1828, this site has been distinguished as a top site. The Pechstein, whose name derives from the high basalt content of the soils, lies at an altitude of 120 to 160 meters above sea level and has a slight slope.
A former volcano, the Pechsteinkopf, above Forst, distributed large quantities of volcanic rock ages ago.
In the subsoil of the site are several basalt veins, red sandstone weathering -and sandy loamy soil, which is offset in places with clay components.
Here grows especially Rieslings with high minerality, which are characterized by a distinctive acid structure and nuances of flint.
All products are German products from the growing region Pfalz. They contain sulfites.
