Vineyard: Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad

In the Reiterpfad exposed to the south-east and rising towards the edge of the forest, there is an almost Mediterranean climate, caused by the heat storage of the walls and their reflection of the sun. Reiterpfad is a derivative of the Latin loanword "rutarius". A rutarian was a member of a pack that moved through the territory on certain paths (trails). The soil is very diverse, from limestone deposits to sandy and stony clay soils.
